Fantasy football is a game where a group of people join a league, draft the NFL players they want onto their roster, drop and add players from the waiver wire, make trades with league mates, and go through a specified number of games in a season, often culminating in playoff brackets of some sorts. Typically, each week involves a head-to-head matchup between two league mates, and a winner is declared each week. Weekly scores are tallied by players’ actions in real NFL games. While many people do this for fun and bragging rights, others have monies involved and sometimes betting occurs. We will focus on one example of a fantasy football league, which is the most common and simplest, while giving brief descriptions of other options.
